Microsoft To Bring Games To Zune By July 2008

Microsoft's Peter Moore, Corporate Vice President, Interactive Entertainment Business, Entertainment and Devices Division, has confirmed plans to add games to the Zune music player. The plan will materialize only by July 2008. This will be considered a late move as its rival Apple has launched the iPod Video, when the gadget was launched in 2006.Microsoft seems to be over-shadowed by Apple’s presence, as the latter has its iPhone. So will Microsoft loose out on crucial market opportunities by launching itsvideo sharing to Zune really late ?However, In November 2006, analysts had noted that an iPhone could cannibalise iPod sales. But the move can’t be resisted. Music is increasingly moving onto cell phones, they added. "I think over the long term mobile music is gong to be huge," Pacific Growth Equities analyst Derrick Wood said. "And that is playing and consuming music over your phone."
